Since 2020, I’ve made short videos while practicing my instruments or working in the studio at home, to document work in progress and offer a public window into this usually private performance practice. The short format initially emerged from Instagram’s 1-minute time limit for video posts. While I use a constellation of hashtags with each post, including the names of instruments and genres, #studiotime and #practicing are the organizing framework and thus the title of the ongoing series. This is a compilation of 11 segments.
